HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — A shooting reported near the Costco on Center Avenue by Bella Terra prompted a large police response on Monday after gunshots were heard in the area.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots before seeing a man flagging down a police officer near Gothard Street and Center Drive. Several law enforcement units were observed responding quickly to the scene as authorities secured the area and began their investigation.
According to preliminary information provided by police, the shooting stemmed from an argument between two strangers inside the store. The confrontation reportedly escalated, resulting in gunfire being exchanged.
Authorities confirmed that one man was killed in the incident, while two other individuals sustained injuries. The conditions of the injured victims have not yet been released.
