GALVESTON, Texas — Motorists traveling northbound on the Galveston Causeway are experiencing significant delays following an incident involving a flipped RV trailer that has blocked traffic for nearly an hour.
According to reports from drivers at the scene, traffic has been at a standstill for more than 50 minutes, with no immediate indication of when the roadway will be fully reopened. Witnesses reported seeing emergency lights stretching from the causeway toward the area near a local gentlemen’s club, highlighting the extent of the traffic backup.
One motorist stated they had been stopped on the crest of the northbound causeway for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, while others reported even longer delays. Preliminary information suggests an RV trailer became sideways across the freeway, obstructing multiple lanes and preventing traffic from moving forward.
Authorities and emergency crews are reportedly working to clear the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible, seek alternate routes, and expect extended travel delays until the vehicle can be safely removed and traffic flow restored.
